  • Did Surgery Residency and Research Fellowship at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania 1988 to1993
  • Completed AP/CP residency training at University of California San Diego and Surgical Pathology Fellowship at University of California San Francisco in 1997
  • Joined The Ohio State University in 1997 with specialty in GI, Liver and Pancreas Pathology
  • Became GI/Liver Pathology Director in 2005, AP Director and Vice-Chair in 2007, Professor with Tenure in 2008 and Distinguished Professor in 2011
  • Former Residency Program Director, current GI/Liver Fellowship Director
  • Author of more than 145 peer-reviewed articles, the majority of which focus on GI, Liver and Pancreas Pathology
  • Participated in several short courses in GI, Liver and Pancreas for USCAP, ASCP, and CAP
  • Serves on ADASP and USCAP Council (former member of Education Committee)
  • Former President of Rodger C. Haggitt GI Pathology Society
  • Serves on Editorial Boards of AJCP, Archives of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and Applied Immunohistochemistry
  • Serves as Vice Chair and GI Cadre leader for Pathology for the ALLIANCE (CALGB)
  • Received multiple grants as PI and CoI
  • Awarded multiple medical student and resident teaching awards
