Dr. Ahmed received his undergraduate education at Adamjee Government Science College, and his M.D. degree at Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. He took his specialty training in pathology at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, and in dermatology at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine, Rochester, Minnesota. He is Associate Professor of Pathology and Dermatology at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. Currently, Dr. Ahmed is Senior Associate Consultant in Dermatology, Section Head of Dermatopathology, and Co-director of the Dermatopathology Fellowship program at the Mayo Clinic and Mayo Foundation. He serves on the Editorial Board of the American Journal of Dermatopathology.
