Christopher Przbycin [M.D.]

Christopher Przybycin received his M.D. from the University of Michigan Medical School, followed by residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Michigan.  He subsequently completed fellowships in surgical pathology at the University of Michigan, gynecologic pathology at Johns Hopkins and genitourinary pathology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.  Chris joined the staff of the Cleveland Clinic in 2012, where he practices genitourinary surgical pathology and is currently Associate Professor of Pathology in the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine.  
 
Chris has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in GU pathology, his main research interests being kidney tumor pathology and testicular pathology.  In addition, he has co-authored portions of the recent Genitourinary Pathology Society (GUPS) updates on renal neoplasia.  He is the author of several textbook chapters, co-editor of a textbook of genitourinary pathology, and is a co-author of both the non-neoplastic testicular pathology chapter in Sternberg’s Diagnostic Surgical Pathology and the Acquired Cystic Disease-Associated Renal Cell Carcinoma section of the 2022 WHO Classification of Tumors of the Urinary System and Male Genital Organs.   
 
Chris has a strong interest in teaching and has served as director of the Genitourinary Pathology Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic since 2018.
