Darcy Kerr [M.D.]

Dr. Darcy Kerr is an Associate Professor of Pathology at Dartmouth, where she serves as subspecialty director for the Head & Neck and Bone & Soft Tissue Pathology Divisions. She earned her M.D. degree from Dartmouth's Geisel School of Medicine and completed Anatomic Pathology residency and fellowships in Bone & Soft Tissue and Head & Neck Pathology as well as Cytopathology at Massachusetts General Hospital / Harvard Medical School. Dr. Kerr has been an invited speaker at national and international pathology meetings and been awarded teaching awards across multiple institutions. She was recognized as a Champion for Change in 2024 Pathologist Power List by The Pathologist Magazine and was one of New Hampshire’s Top Doctors in 2025 and 2026 by New Hampshire Magazine. She has published over 130 peer-reviewed articles and contributed to numerous textbooks, including the Bone chapter in Histology for Pathologists and to the WHO "blue books," Tumours of Endocrine Organs, Head and Neck Tumours, and Soft Tissue and Bone Tumours. Dr. Kerr serves as an Associate Editor for International Journal of Surgical Pathology and on several editorial boards including Journal of Clinical Pathology, Head and Neck Pathology, and Cancer Cytopathology. Her research interests center on bone and soft tissue tumors, in particular cartilaginous neoplasms, and HPV-related carcinomas of the head and neck. Additional academic interests include mentorship and improving pathology services in developing settings.
