Dr. Junkins-Hopkins is Associate Professor in Dermatology and the Division Director of Dermatopathology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She received her A.B. degree from the University of Notre Dame and her M.D. degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and her fellowship training in dermatopathology at Harvard University. She is Associate Professor of Dermatology and Director of CEQI at the University of Pennsylvania Health System in Philadelphia. Dr. Junkins-Hopkins is a co-author of three text books of dermatopathology, a contributing author of nine chapters to text books and 4 on-line books on dermatopathology, and has published numerous articles and case reports on lymphoid diseases of the skin. She is Editor-in-Chief, of Dialogues in Dermatology, published by the American Academy of Dermatology. Her research interests lie in the areas of hematopoietic stem cell biology/transplantation, and in umbilical cord blood banking.
